Details are pretty hard to come by, especially since we’re a few months out from seeing this come to fruition. But we’re happy to share what we know with you.
Here are some of the basics:
- We’ve agreed to terms for a ten-year lease.
- It’s about 30% larger than our current space, however, our capacity will increase by more than 50%
- The space will be built to suit our needs.

- Location, Location, Location! That’s the key to real estate, right? We’re really thankful for the space we’re in now; God has provided a great building that has met our needs. However, it’s pretty rough to be the Maryville Vineyard meeting in Friendsville! God has called us to change Blount County, and we’re so excited to now have the opportunity to be in the very center of it! With a daily traffic count in the tens of thousands, we’re strategically placing ourselves in a highly visible location.
- Affordability. We’ve got to raise a pretty good chunk of cash upfront, but then we’ll be locked in long-term with a rate that we can afford without being “building poor.” We’re tucked away to the side of this huge retail center (which makes it affordable), but it faces all of the traffic, giving us extremely high visibility.
- Room. It’s bigger than our current facility…and for a growing church, bigger is better! Our current capacity is about 275, the new place will be more like 450.
- Us. At the moment, it’s an empty shell. The build-out will be dictated by drawings we made, based on our priorities and style of ministry. It will be uniquely “us!”
